Blue skies smiling at me....

I traveled to Colorado a few weeks ago and was astounded by the breathtaking scenery (cliche and true).  I kept saying to my friend that it looked like an oil painting everywhere you looked!  Picture taken is us traveling to Breckenridge.  We were traveling through what had used to be a watering hole for the dinosaurs...bananas! Anyway, when I saw these Size 9 shoes they reminded me of the sky on some of the sunny days we had and excited me because vintage shoes above the size of 8 are typically difficult to find.  Also, I highly recommend for anybody who has not been to Colorado to take a trip there...it's well worth it and the bus will be making frequent stops there once that part of the journey begins...

And it begins...

Welcome to the first post of RBsquared...
My dream for my life.  The Red Banshee Bus (R.B.B.=RB^2=RBsquared)

I constantly say I was born in the wrong decade...my love for Janis Joplin, complete and utter obsession with traveling from music festival to music festival selling vintage goods procured from said travels on my day-glo painted bus and constant desire to wear anything fringed, feathered or studded are all indications that I am correct in that statement.  Along with these many passions of mine, one by far surpasses all others: vintage.

I was introduced to vintage in high school by one of my dear friends, Jennie Yeow.  My first purchase was a grey, wool, structured purse with a small plastic handle.  The way it creaked when it opened, the fact that I could picture a demure woman holding it while wearing day gloves and walking down the street while her and her friend gossip whisperingly to each other under the umbrella they shared to keep the sun from tanning their pearly white faces made me fall in love.  That first purse was like my first hit of a drug.

I want to deal that drug.  That's what RBsquared is.  In a world of mass production, copy cats and knock-offs, we as women forgot what it really means to be one of a kind, to feel different, to feel special.  I want to help in bringing that back, through vintage jewelry, accessories and clothes.  RBsquared is about bringing out women's personalities through style...personal style.  Although I do have a special place in my heart for the fashions of the hippie era, RBsquared is not a single note store...we are not single note humans.

Although I don't have my bus yet, I'm beginning to live my dream.  If you would like to set up a private trunk show with you and your friends please contact me!

Be in love with your life,
Lauren
